Lactation Consultant

As an accredited Lactation Consultant I can provide long-term assistance throughout your period of breastfeeding - from prenatal care through to weaning. I provide effective theoretical and practical breastfeeding education. My services are available on a one-to-one basis, either in your home, or at the Dulwich Therapy Rooms - 47 Lordship Lane, East Dulwich. London SE22 8EP.

I obtained my qualification by undertaking various courses covering many areas of infant feeding, this included anatomy and physiology of lactation, use of medication in nursing mothers as well as counselling skills. I sat an extensive examination which lasted 6 hours. After 5 years I need to show evidence that I have continued to keep myself updated. After 10 years I am required to resit the examination.
